I learned to use Inkscape with the InkStitch plugin to create my own designs for the embroidery machine. These are some of the designs I created this semester. The Lion patch was stitched using reflective thread and glows in the dark. The Cats, Books and Coffee design was purchased, not created by me.
Large pockets are useful and medical scrubs have the perfectly sized pockets. I’m becoming less afraid of sewing and have been able to modify the scrubs to turn them into vests that are perfect for carrying items like a cell phone.
